Fresh from her critically acclaimed performance in To Drone in the Rain, AAM client Nell Hardy will be performing in Wind in the Willows in North London from July 10-28.
The beloved family classic will be staged at Abney Park –– one of London’s ‘Magnificent Seven’ garden cemeteries. Nell stars as Mole, through whose eyes the audience sees the story unfold. The tale begins in Mole’s lonely burrow, and sees her gain confidence when her dear friend Ratty persuades her to venture into the Great Wood. Unfortunately, some of the animals there have a little more adventure in mind –– not least the impulsive Toad of Toad Hall!
This immersive promenade performance by Pandemonium Performance Company is directed by Paul Linghorn and produced by Steve Fitzgerald. This is Nell’s fourth consecutive summer show with the company.
Last month, Nell performed the role of Drone Girl 9.1.13 in To Drone in the Rain at the Tristan Bates Theatre in Central London, alongside Game of Thrones actors Lino Facioli and Michael Benbaruk. Critics described her as a ‘young star‘, and her performance was hailed ‘the real heart of the play‘.
Wind in the Willows is playing at Abney Park Stoke Newington on Wednesdays-Sundays from 10-28th July at 8pm. Tickets are available here.
